Peso Pluma has embarked on his first US tour, Dople P, and he is selling out venues left and right. He had a two-night feature here in Houston, TX at Smart Financial Centre and sold out both nights! He is currently one of the biggest new artists in the regional Mexicano genre with only two years in the game. Aside from top charted songs, one of the biggest keys to his success has been his genuine love for his fans which was very present Thursday night, the first of the two sold out shows . He spoke to the crowd with such realness as if he was our friend which helped create a sense of closeness that isn’t typically experienced with high caliber artists.
In the crowd you could find an array of diversity as Peso Pluma has been able to attract support from all ethnicities, no matter if they speak Spanish or not. His music and energy is felt and understood even to non-spanish speakers. Mexican attendees were proudly supporting Peso Pluma as he has really been representing his Mexican heritage and culture throughout his rising fame.
The night took off with a set list full of corridos tumbados and a little dash of rap as he brought Aleman out on stage for their track Delivery. Another guest artist he brought on stage was Jasiel Nunez for Lagunas, Rosa Pastel, and En Mi Mundo. Other hot tracks performed included Chanel, Rubicon, Ella Baila Sola, and PRC.
It is clear that the tour set list was constructed with the attempt to show Peso Pluma’s range including his commercial work while still showcasing his expertise in his controversial corridos but also shifting to a romantic side with the track Luna. His dance moves came into play as needed during his performance which was a big crowd pleaser! His signature moves have gone viral online & he made sure to not leave the crowd hanging.
Peso Pluma is on the verge of becoming one of the most prominent latin artists in the world & we are all here for it! Arriba Mexico!
