Glass Animals has been one of indie pop’s darlings since their 2014 debut album Zaba, which launched them into the spotlight. Over the years, they’ve consistently put out radio hits and filled festivals and concert venues worldwide. In September, the UK band brought their tour to The Woodlands, Texas, performing at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on a steamy Saturday afternoon.
The energy was high from the start, with frontman Dave Bayley constantly moving and jumping, his soft-spoken vocals perfectly contrasting with the upbeat, infectious music. Despite the heat, the crowd didn’t miss a beat, dancing to hits like Your Love, On the Run, and Youth. It was pure musical bliss.
The standout moment of the night came when Dave ventured into the crowd during Gooey, donning a cowboy hat (likely from a fan) while the audience sang along word for word—an unforgettable scene. The encore featured Dreamland hits Tokyo Drifting and the viral sensation Heat Waves, capping off a packed and vibrant show.
Glass Animals delivered exactly what fans expected—and then some. They brought a festival-like vibe, making it feel like everyone was having a fantastic time dancing and grooving to their incredible set. For those who attended, it was worth every penny, and they remain a must-see band whenever they’re in town.
