Thee Sacred Souls’ show at White Oak Music Hall in Houston, TX, on October 23, 2024, felt like a breath of fresh air. With a crowd filled with couples embracing, it was clear people came out for a romantic night. The stage setup was visually stunning; the band was tight and well-coordinated, with the drummer, bassist, guitarist, and keyboardist elevated on risers, while brass players and backup vocalists flanked either side.
Josh Lane’s connection with the audience was electric. He frequently walked up to the barricade, locking eyes and serenading fans, making them feel like they were part of something special. At one point, he even went deep into the crowd, dancing and singing with fans, which had everyone around him beaming.
From the groovy Will I See You Again? to the poignant Weak for Your Love, the setlist was filled with fan favorites. And, of course, the crowd lost it during Can I Call You Rose? The TikTok sensation that’s become a staple in their lineup. Each song seemed to draw the audience in deeper, creating a night that felt nostalgic yet so in the moment. It was clear Thee Sacred Souls gave the crowd more than just a show; they gave them an experience.
